'Beautiful Bargain'
This former convent is more of a small hotel than an inn. Each room is beautifully decorated and has private baths in each room plus cable tv and phones. Despite being in the "heart" of everything, the Inn is a remarkably quiet retreat. Park your car and walk to everything! Reasonably priced, I highly recommend the Fitz.

'Location, Location, Location'
We stayed here last October and are going back this year. This is an old house, but the rooms are large, immaculate, and nicely decorated. We only used the car once in our two night stay, and that was to drive to one of the mansions. There are many restaurants, taverns, and sailing within walking distance. There is free off street parking behind the inn, and that is important in an old town with narrow streets like Newport. The breakfast area is bright and pleasant with a tasty continental breakfast. The staff of course was friendly or why would we be going back?
